Cheat Sheet: Common Topics/Questions from Installers & Consumers

Many of the questions we get by email & phone should be addressed here and in other locations within our Knowledgebase. If you don't see the answer, please take notes in HubSpot and we will add the answers to the KB and/or directly in this article.

  • What are the dimensions? 22" wide, 26" deep, 65" tall
    • The unit is designed as 22" wide to fit through most doorways, attics, and closets.
  • Dimensions of the drain pan? 1" additional on all sides = 24" x 28"
  • Is a drain pan required? Not always, depends on local code.  In some cases, especially if you have a floor drain, it's not necessary.  Contact your plumber for more information.
  • What Certification do we have? UL174.  UL has an online directory of appliances that have met certain test standards.
  • Can we link two units together? Yes, in parallel and series.  Both have their advantages, contact your plumber for more information.  Parallel plumbed units, in a balanced system, require double the minimum flow rate.
  • Can the unit replace other technology water heaters?  Yes, including heat pump, gas & electric tank, gas & electric tankless.
  • Do we qualify for federal/local rebates & incentives?  Possibly, we have a high UEF (Uniform Energy Factor) of 0.93 which should qualify us for many programs.  Contact your local utility for more specific information.  Check back with us regularly for newly qualified programs.
  • Will my heater provide hot water if the unit isn't connected to WiFi or if I haven't downloaded the app yet? Yes, although we strongly encourage you to connect to WiFi and pair your device to the water heater to get the full benefit of the water heater.  The app gives your many added benefits such as remote monitoring and these features won't work if you're not connected and paired.  Automated software updates are pushed to through your connected devices - these updates will include important features such as data privacy, efficiency, security, and new functionality upgrades.
  • How much does it weigh? A very svelte 102 lbs.  It also has molded side-grip handles for easy handling.
  • Can I transport it in the back of my truck? Yes.  Please take note of markings on the box and instructions in the manual which detail best practices for transportation.
  • Where can I purchase? At a Ferguson branch or at Ferguson.com for BOPIS (Buy Online, Pickup In Store.
  • Where in the world is it available?  Currently, we are in limited distribution in 6 major markets of Texas only - Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Corpus Christi, Lubbock.  Starting in 2022, we will be gradually launching small markets in every corner of the U.S. and possibly Canada.  If you ever hear of an out-of-state contractor interested in becoming a dealer for us, please create a phone call record and assign it to Scott.
  • Are we entertaining inquiries from any Sales Rep Agencies or wholesalers other than Ferguson?  No, but politely take their basic information and create Contact, Company, Phone Call records in HubSpot.
